My father does not like my having opinions.
That I have opinions, per se, is not what bothers him.
That I express them freely and frequently, does.
He says they shall get me killed one day.
Reading the papers, he's probably right.
So it is dangerous to express [the wrong] opinions. But the real danger of opinions is, they make you want to express them anyway.
